Process Technology International, Inc. (PTI) is pleased to announce the successful start-up and commissioning of PTI's patented JetBOx^TM Technology at the following facilities.

Malayawata Steel, Malaysia; 88 Metric Ton DC EAF. The system was commissioned in July 2005.

Hangzhou Steel, China; 100 Metric Ton DC EAF. The system was commissioned in August 2005

Ispat Industries Dolvi Plant, India; 200 Metric Ton Twin Shell EAF. The system was commissioned in September 2005.

Each of these systems includes multiple JetBOxes^TM capable of introducing shrouded supersonic oxygen and injected carbon, flow control train, and integrated automation and control systems.

The ability of the JetBOx^TM injectors to operate submerged in the foamy slag layer significantly improves the efficiency of oxygen, carbon and natural gas inputs and helps reduce energy losses to the furnace off gas and sidewalls. Natural gas for oxygen jet shrouding can also be reduced due to the close proximity to the metal bath.

PTI's JetBOx^TM technology has now been adopted by over 50 steel plants worldwide with more than 200 JetBOxes^TM in operation.
