Preheating

In preheating mode, the PTI Jet burner incorporates a two stage combustion process to produce a bright, wide flame envelope capable of heating a large volume of scrap. The highly luminous flame enhances radiative heat transfer, which is the primary mechanism of heat transfer in the high temperature process taking place inside the EAF.
